The home in Los Angeles where actor Jim Carrey has resided for almost 30 years is being offered for sale for $28.9 million.

Canadian-born Mr. Carrey bought the ranch-style house in Brentwood in 1994, about the time “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,” his first big box office success, opened theaters. The amount of money he had to pay wasn’t totally clear.
