Baseball All-Star Avisail Garcia Spends $9M on Luxurious Miami Mansion

Avisail Garcia, an outfielder with the Miami Marlins, recently paid $9.06 million for a spectacular property in a prestigious gated neighborhood in Coral Gables, Florida.

According to public documents, the baseball icon, known as Uncle Avi, and his wife, Anakarina Garcia, bought the 1.1-acre property in March.

Mr. Garcia’s $53 million, four-year deal with the Miami Marlins was signed two years ago.

The two-story home on a corner property in the upscale Snapper Creek Lakes area was listed for $10,495,000 by Bradley Cooper of The Corcoran Group in July 2022. Public documents showed that the buyer was a trust.

Coral Gables, one of Florida’s first planned communities, bills itself as “The City Beautiful” because of its Mediterranean Revival and Spanish Renaissance architecture, as well as its palm and banyan tree canopies.

The open layout of the residence fosters a sense of community and expansiveness

Since making his major league debut in 2012, Mr. Garcia has played for the Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, and Milwaukee Brewers. The Garcias, who have two young children, got married in 2013.

The Marlins’ press office sent Mr. Garcia a request for comment, but he did not respond right away.
