Discovering Football Stars’ Lavish Worlds: Ronaldo, Pochettino, Alli, and Others Chartering Yachts for Vacations (Part 1)

Some even go so far as to charter superyachts for their trips overseas so they may bask in the sun in style now that they are able to travel again.

Ronaldo is just one of many footballers who enjoy yachting’s luxuries

Mauricio Pochettino, a former manager of the Tottenham Hotspurs, and Cristiano Ronaldo have both been caught flaunting their budgie smugglers while lounging on million-dollar yachts in recent years.

But how much did they pay for their hiring? We make everything public.

JAN OBLAK

Angels and Demons, £23k-per-week

After regularly performing for the La Liga team, Atletico Madrid’s goalkeeper deserves a rest. He spent a few years ago in Ibiza with his girlfriend, soaking in the rays on the Angels and Demons yacht.

The Pershing 76 was built in 2010 and measures 73.03ft/22.26m and accommodates up to 6 passengers in 3 cabins, including a master suite, 1 VIP bedroom, and 1 twin cabin. Each accommodation is fully air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi is provided throughout the yacht, which cruises at 32 mph and tops out at 45 knots.

MARIO GOTZE & MANUEL NEUER

Baloo 1 Pershing 74X, £35K-per-week

German actors Neuer and Gotze made sure to pamper their lovely Wags Ann Kathrin Brommel and Nina Weiss to a luxury yacht when they whisked them away for the weekend.

They also made the decision to travel to the Balearic Islands, where they chartered the huge Baloo 1, which has three cabins and can accommodate six people. The vessel offers both an interior eating area and an outdoor dining area where you may work on your tan. It can go through to 43 knots but typically travels at 35 knots.

Although there are no water toys on board, you can use their snorkeling gear.

RAHEEM STERLING

Yacht Golden Touch, £24k per week

The 2019 Football Writers’ Player of the Year treated himself to a trip to Miami that year. He was also seen on the Golden Touch, a luxury yacht that is ordinarily anchored in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

On board, there are four cabins, including one VIP cabin with its own ensuite bathroom. The indoor eating space has soft armchairs and a six-person dining table. It is the most classic of the yachts available, having been built in 1992 and restored in 2014, although it remains extremely sumptuous.

WALKER, KYLE

Cala Di Luna, £30,000/week

Walker and his on-again, off-again girlfriend Annie Kilner were photographed on the Cala Di Luna in Formentera. He spent £250,000 on a private plane before the outbreak to fly Kilner on holiday. Walker made the decision to spend lavishly on this lovely Sunseeker motor yacht, which was introduced in 2010.

The two crew members on board the Cala Di Luna can accommodate eight passengers in its four cabins. This is a true family yacht with three outdoor sitting places perfect for sunbathing. Three Seadoo sea scooters, water skis, paddle surfboards, and snorkeling equipment are all included in the yacht’s amenities.

DALEY BLIND

Wajer 38, £20K-per-week

Since returning to Ajax, the Dutch club’s star has been spectacular, winning a flurry of trophies and reaching the Champions League semi-finals in 2019. So a trip to the Amalfi Coast for the former Manchester United footballer and his lovely missus, Candy-Rae Fleur, was just what the doctor ordered.

The pair rented a Wajer 38 for up to £20,000 per week or £2,500 per day. It’s not as big as the others on the list, but it’s still powerful. She can attain a top speed of 45 knots if you need to get someplace quickly.

According to the brochure, the Wajer can sleep 14 people, yet there are no cabins to sleep in.
