Step inside Erik ten Hag’s modern and luxurious Manchester penthouse which cost £2 million

The incoming Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, is prepared to be “nosey” next door to Pep Guardiola.

The 52-year-old Dutchman has handed Man United authorities a wish list and will take over as manager at Old Trafford at the conclusion of the current campaign. He has informed Manchester United that he does not want to stay at the Lowry Hotel, where former manager Jose Mourinho spent his whole tenure, or live out of a bag.

The Red Devils have been tasked with locating a rental home close to Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City,’s £2 million condominium in Salford.

Man United have investigated the same building where Manchester City stars such as Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva reside.

The Ajax chief, Ten Hag, grew up in the country but likes to live in the city, close to all conveniences, rather than the country.

He is currently living above a grocery store in an Amsterdam neighborhood, and United has sent agents to resolve the matter by the end of the month.

The cost will be borne by United, as premium rentals in the region may cost up to £10,000 per month. Edge Apartments and No.1 Deansgate are rumored to have been considered as well.

According to a United insider, “ten Hag believes it is crucial to be absorbed in the local culture and has many interests outside of football.”

“From their days working together at Bayern Munich, he knows Pep very well and will be near enough to pop round for a cup of sugar if he wants it!”

During the last decade’s power shift in Manchester, legendary former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson famously referred to rivals City as “noisy neighbors.”

Guardiola’s team currently leads their bitter rivals by 26 points in the Premier League standings. Ten Hag will hope to close this disparity when he joins City in the summer.

“It is a great pleasure to be selected manager of Manchester United, and I am hugely enthused by the job ahead,” Ten Hag said after his hiring was announced.

“I understand the history of this great club and the supporters’ enthusiasm, and I am committed to building a team capable of delivering the success they deserve.”

“It will be difficult to leave Ajax after these fantastic years, and I can assure our fans of my full commitment and emphasis on completing this season successfully before moving to Manchester United.”

United will start Ten Hag’s first season as manager having gone five seasons without winning a trophy, with their most recent success coming in the Europa League in 2017.
